So we're here - we made it safe and sound...
What a day - or rather 2!!! We set off yesterday (Sunday) at 12 noon from Durban to Johannesburg ... first flight very uneventful.... we arrived Johannesburg with plenty of time for our next flight to Dubai... we checked in, went through security no problem ... then we hit passport control (now really did you seriously expect no problems???) It would appear that as Kelsey is 'South African' he MUST have a valid South African passport to leave the country... does'nt matter that he has a British Passport - "it is his right to own a South African passport" that's all I kept hearing from every 'professional' at passport control... aaaargh!!!!
Little do they realise have any of them ever tried to organise a passport in good old SA in a) less than 6 weeks and b) without his father being present to sign for him.... !!!!! Apparently I'm gonna go through all the same aggro on our return .... (please tell me again WHY exactly it is I want to return!!!! PLEASE)
But the rest of the flights were pretty uneventful... other than being long with very little sleep... And guess what NO PROBLEMS at UK Passport control... hello first world!!!!(LMAO)
Now I'm back in MY HOUSE and what a great feeling it is... OK so it's very 'minimalistic' and wow Jane you've done a great job with the 'dressing' ... and it's hard to believe that a guy actually lives here it's neat and tidy... Paul reckons no problem cos he's never here (too busy working!!!)
The things that you miss when you don't have them... The things you tend to take for granted... I mean like it's 8.45pm and it's still light !!! In fact I kinda forgot it was dinner time cos it's still light!!!!But had no hesitation as to what to have for dinner tonight - Fish & Chips with Mushy Peas, lashings of salt & vinegar (mmmmm yummy!!!)
And I know it's going to be early to bed tonight - light or not... :-) And boy how lovely and comfy is that bed of mine??? lmao.
