The clock is ticking...

I was woken at 3.30am this morning by the house alarm beeping rather loudly... This generally means the power has gone off... (again)

Took Kelsey to school at 7am and we still had no power, when I came home from the school run I was greeted by mum asking "did you bring me a hot cuppa something"!!! (did you send me a txt message and let me know the power was still off? Duh no!)

Power came back on at 10.32am - seems there was a problem with the power box! in our area(again) Someones probably stolen the copper cables - again! Definately having gas in my house...`:->

It's amazing what you're forced to do when you have no power, I tidied out Kelsey and Paul's cupboards this morning (the excitement of it all!!!) Well I had to sort out their clothes 'cos Kelsey is now wearing some of his dad's t-shirts!!! (don't tell him)

11.03am Paul just sent me a txt message he's landed safely in Johannesburg, I'm picking him up from Durban Airport at 14h05. We told Kelsey his dad is driving down from JHB so he's only expecting him tonight after 6pm, Paul and I will go collect Kelsey from school at 3pm and surprise him... aaaah!

Kelsey is excited 'cos dad's taking him to school tomorrow and he's going into his classroom to be introduced to his class (I think it's to prove to the other kids he does have a dad) then we've got end of term assembly and the kids finish at 10am... (what a waste of a clean uniform!!¬!)

Then the holidays start hurray!!! Long lie ins. No 5.30am alarms woohoo!!! See I don't have a problem with my child over the school hols... I love the idea of not having to get up early...
A bit like Garfield - 'I don't do mornings!'
