Let me set the scene for you ...

Friday night ... Midnight ... temperature around 28c ... so warm all the windows in the house are open and there's not a breath of air to be felt !!!! We're all in bed ... just at the stage where you're drifting off into the land of nod (OK we went to bed a little later than normal ... watched some crappy movie on TV etc...) Next minute I hear Indi growling ... but a deep from the pits of her stomach growl ... and she's running across the tiled floor ... nails digging in and you can hear her skidding about ... I'm thinking W.T.F is going on out there ... there's definitely someone in the house ... by the sounds of her vicious, savage tones (do you just love my adjectives??)

Right well ... I dived out of bed and into the lounge ... switched the lights on ... and there frightened in its track is a bloody Monkey !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Indi's got it cornered in the kitchen ... she's going nuts ... its going nuts ... the claws are lashing out ... it's snarling its teeth at her and I'm thinking great here we go a trip to the vets to remove the the monkeys teeth from my dogs face !!! I grab hold of Indi and the monkey sees it chance ... it's across the counter top straight into Kelsey's bedroom and out the window !!! Kelsey's lying in bed oblivious to the noise and commotion ... Mum comes running out her bedroom ... " what the hells going on?" Indi's attacking the patio doors to get out ... It was scene from some horror comedy nightmare !!!!

I let Indi out into the garden but our visitor was long gone ... I didn't think monkeys moved about at night ??? I'm obviously wrong ... Bushman Ben what's your thoughts on this one ???

So there we are ... hot as hell and we're going around closing up windows etc. I hardly slept a wink the rest of Friday night ... I'm having visions of waking up to a monkey sitting on my chest about ready to savage my face !!!! ( I know I have a seriously wild and sumwhat strange imagination !!! LOL)

ONLY IN AFRICA OF COURSE !!!! ;-)

Yesterday we spent the day floating in Aunty June's pool (yes me included!!!) ... dare I say it ??? but Maybe , just maybe this week is summer ???? The temperature rose to 39c and Irena and I had been into Durban central early morning and with the humidity levels the temp there was up to 44C!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally some of what I remember this area being like for summer ... too damn hot to move !!! (NOT a complaint just a statement of the facts ... )

Paul very kindly sent me a forecast of the temps for this next week and it looks like we're gonna be sweating lots of buckets !!!!! (BIG SMILE .... VERY BEEEEG SMILE !!!)
