YES ...it's ME again...

and boy what an interesting week I've had ...

Still working ... still being positive ... well trying to anyway ... Tuesday I did send Paul a message to ask him if I could quit ... already having 'bad' days ... it's not the work honestly ... I'm just having a bit of difficulty adjusting to working with people ... and even harder when you're working with people who ask your opinion but don't really want it .... or rather don't want it when it don't coincide with theirs !!! It's going to take a lot more patience than I have me thinks !!!!

But I have to tell you what happened to me on Friday ... I went for a Blood Analysis !!! OK why would I want to willing do that ??? Well Sally went ... she's on this strict diet competition 'who's the biggest looser' thingy ma-bob .... she went for this 'LiveSmart' Blood Analysis !!! and came back raving ... about how accurate .. how this and how that etc. etc. etc. !!! Well cynical old me listened ... listened some more and then when I found out this chick was doing the consult for free me decided WTF ... should be interesting WHAT ???

Well all I can say is ... WOW it is amazing what one can find out about ones self with just 1 pinprick of blood !!! So here goes ... I have nothing to hide I'm going to tell you what she said about me by just looking at my 'screwed up' blood ... I feel like I've had my fortune told ... but my past not my future !!!

The only questions she ask you on the form is your age, weight, any medication you take regularly including supplements and why you want to see her !!! and that was it ... and I didn't even put my age on the form ...

On my slide it revealed that my blood cells are compacted together like long worms ... there was a pink shadow around these worms and lots of gaps of 'plasma' ... and from this picture she deduced ... I carry a lot of stress internally and I am the best case of Jekyll & Hide she has ever seen, (what I show on the outside is most definitely not what is going on in the inside) although I am surrounded by lots of people I am actually very lonely, I carry a huge amount of deep seated anger inside, this is why my blood cells are all attached to each other, sort of trying not to be on their own ??? I have poor circulation and not enough oxygen in my blood and because of the way the cells are formed I have lapses in concentration and often stop mid sentence or mid task and forget what it was I was doing !!!! This is because when the 'worm cells' hit the brain they feed it oxygen but when the worm comes to an end there are gaps when just plasma is entering the brain and this is what 'short circuits' the memory !!!

The pink shadow ... is no not the pink hair dye ... although she did say you could see the chemicals in that ... the pink shadow is my addiction to pain killers !!! Most definitely the pain killers the doctors prescribe for my arthritis !!! and according to her there are too many of them !!!I also carry a lot of bacteria ... but not bad bacteria ... good bacteria ... but too much of that can also be bad for me ...oh and apparently I'm also pre-menopausal !!!

SO there you have it ... all that from just 1 pin prick of blood ... she said she would not 'treat me' for nutritional or weight issues although I had put down that that was one of the reasons I had gone to her, in fact she actually said that she was not even sure she could help me at all !!! (well at least she was being very honest with me) and she was not going to rip me off with prescribing things that would never work for me !!! In short I am depressed and I have to find a way to release this inner anger, find a way to release the stress and tension in my life, not hold it in and pretend all is OK !!! and once that was overcome I would naturally be happier then I would loose the weight and not need all her supplements !!! She also said for my Livers sake ... get rid of the pain killers ... easy for her to say when she's not the one who can't sleep some nights because of the pain in the hip !!!!

But I have to say what she said did take me totally by surprise ... I would never have said you could tell the type of personality a person had just by looking at a slide with their blood on it !!!

A normal consult takes and hour ... I went there at 4pm and walked out at 6.30pm !!! Mmmmm I wonder if she's cheaper than a psychiatrist ???

Work Week 2 over ...

So ... still surviving being a worker and still being positive about the job ...

Loving the 'work' ... not finding the kids such a mission ... actually the only 'negative' part is the 'adults' (a.k.a teachers) .... especially those that think they are talking to 7 year olds all the time !!! Takes a bit of getting used to .. working with others again ... considering I have been 'self employed' for the past 10 years, also takes a lot of 'patience' having to 'follow instructions' from those who you can tell 'don't have a cooking clue' PMSL ... (that bottle of S.Y.M pills are being emptied fast LOL)

BUT one of the nicest aspects of the job is not knowing what the hell is going to be thrown at you from day to day .... not thrown in the literal sense ... every day is different ...and it never stops ... some days you don't even get the chance to get the office door open before a pile of work gets shoved in your hands ... TIME MANAGEMENT and FORWARD PLANNING .... what are those ... they don't exist ... well not in our school !!!

Slowly sorting out our 'home' lives too ... starting to get into a routine now ...meal times are still a bit later than I would like them to be .... but that's also cos of SON-shines hectic training schedule ... he does rugby training 3 nights a week ... 5-6pm ... so he finishes school at 2.45pm ... we're home by 3.15ish ... homework for about 2 hours !!!! (hello Gr9) finishing just in time to change and back out for practise ... for me it's home and cooking after 6pm (grrr) although mum is helping on SOME nights .... her excuse being she don't know how to cook the meals we 'want' ... (she's a stew cook ... her words not mine) we eat, dogs fed, kitchen cleaned and then I collapse comatose in front of the telly for about an hour, in bed by 9.30pm (well I'm up weekdays by 5.30am) .... incredibly exciting life eh???

TG at the moment weekends are slow ... this am SON-shine tells me weekends are boring ... I'm making the most of them cos as from end of Feb right thru to end July I just know they too will be packed full of busy-ness.

Booked my next workshop day for the ladies .... Saturday 25th February ... going to be making a mini book, a 12x12 scrapbook page or 4-6x6 pages and an off the page project ... the chipboard clipboard we made in the classes UK side ... finally found the XL chipboard tags ... so I have to start working on my samples for that .... do you think I can find any of my samples from previous workshops .... NO !!!.... wish I could find my chalk inks too .... have EVERYBODY begging .... no DEMANDING that I find those next !!!! Well now I only have weekends in which to go 'hunting' in the garage ....

My THURSDAY ladies also want to book a class with me too ... and Adele is going to take some stock to them for me .... bless the old biddies .... they still working hard on the last lot of techniques I taught them ...

K & I went to the optician this week ... no he doesn't need glasses which he is thrilled about ... he's had a bad eye for the last 2 months (on and off) and then during the holidays he was telling me that his vision was a bit blurred in that eye .... figured maybe it was time to see a specialist ... well it's nothing serious ... he's just got a bit of a 'rare' infection in the upper eye lash follicles .... the Doc did give me the technical name but hey if you can't spell it you can't use it LOL ... me well that's a different story ... now I need glasses for reading too ... not just for long sightedness now but also a bit of short sightedness too .... oh well the joys of getting old :-)

And finally the weather has been playing nicely this week too ... been warm & sunny all week .... not toooooo hot ... temps averaging around 27-30'c ... with a bit of rain in the evening to cool everything down ... I LOVE this time of the year :-)

Oooh Friday the 13th ...

Well has it been a good one or a bad one for you???

My first full week of work has been great ... hectic and busy but soo rewarding ...

And with the weather we've had this week ... also very tiring ...

We've had temperatures in the high 30'c ... I just love it ... not having to worry about the layers of clothes that you have to wear ... in this instance less is good!!! LOL Mind you probably would be better if the weather was good on the weekends only ... but beggars can't be choosers :-)

SON-shine is also back at school ... not quite in a routine yet but I'm sure by next week we'll have no free time to ourselves ... he's really chuffed with himself about the fact he's in mainstream maths and seems like he's gonna enjoy Gr9 ... well as much as any teenager who tolerates school can LOL !!! One good thing is that he starts pre=season training next week so that'll get him too tired to give me any aggro LOL

And as I have been soooo busy at work ... not had much time for anything else ... just about managing to buy groceries, make food and crash into bed every day ... I'm sure it will get easier once we get into a routine ... but I know I've gotta start planning my next workshop AND I've had a few customers looking for 'stock' ...

Really no time to be sitting around doing nothing !!!

Happy New Year and ...

A bit of belated New Year wishes to everyone ... been so incredibly LAZY !!! that I just didn't get a chance to wish everyone ... and now lookey here ...

I've now been at work for 3 whole (LOL) days already !!!

New Year's eve found us out to dinner with June & Irena ... our traditional event ... but we were also joined by the Pretorius family ... so nice to be surrounded by family & friends ... we then made our way back to Junes, played a crazy game of Trivial Pursuit ...(kids version) and the kids were clueless LOL ... we all got to play at being kids as June had bought 'animal friendly' fireworks ... sparklers and fizzy flashy things ... I think June is the female version of Peter Pan LOL ... we had an awesome evening ... and crashed into bed by 3am ... were up bright and early at 9am ... had a lekker juicy fatty breakfast of bacon & egg sarnies ... TG we had no intention of using DIET as a New Year resolution PMSL ... lazed around the pool... enjoyed the heat , ate another ton of food ... what a fantastic start to 2012.

And the balance of our long weekend was just as good ... lazy ... laid back ... spending time with the family ...

Then it was I-O,I-O it's off to work I go .... Wednesday was a short day ... worked 8am -12noon ... felt really great to be in the 'Workforce' again !!! The rest of the week has been busy, busy, busy ... but really awesome ... I am soooo excited about this job ... The kids start back on Wednesday 11th so we have to get everything ready for them ... Sally & I are responsible for getting all the admin ready for the Snr Primary ... not admissions etc. the teachers notes, class work etc... plus we have a whole lot of meetings to organise catering for in the 1st week back ... hectic diary ahead ...

And in between all that Kelsey starts school on Tuesday ... and there's his hectic social life and school calendar ... its all GO, GO, Go ....

I just know that 2012 is going to be an AWESOME year ...
