But here we are almost at the end of 2010 !!! and WOW is all I can say ...
I know I haven't blogged for a while, but I thought I'd better put a few lines together to see this unusual year out ....
No I'm not going to bore everyone with the story of my year ... regular readers will know most of it ... all I have to do is fill you in on what's been happening this last month ... and then we're all up to date ...
I can hardly believe that only 1 more week and Paul returns to England AGAIN !!! 5 weeks gone in a flash !!!
So this month has seen ...
Kelsey finishing (1st in his class I might add) Primary School for the 2nd time in his life LOL ... when you consider 2 years ago he finished Primary School in England ... we have an incredibly exciting New Year ahead for him ... going to High School ... joining the big pond !!! LOL
Still go a few bits and pieces to sort out for him before he starts ... like uniforms and his school stationary !!! I waited as late as possible for the uniforms cos he has lost soooo much weight.
We decided to stay at home in KZN for December this year ... we've hardly seen anything of Kelsey ... he's now at that age where he wants to do his own Thang!!! Spends lots of time with his mates and new Girlfirend !!! Jessi (sadly for him ... she went away for Christmas to Mauritius!!! ... left on the 20th, but is back on the 6th !!!) ... BUT Heine and him have kept each other company ... he does have a pool you know !!! and Lynette (H's mum says they keep each other out of mischief) ... don't believe that for 1 minute!!!
Nan and the kids joined us for Christmas ... they stayed just over a week ... unfortunately she didn't stay to see the New Year in with us ... :-(
Christmas was AWESOME !!! Again June put on a fantastic spread on Christmas Eve ... with 20 people sitting down to a scrumptious dinner of Roast Lamb with all the trimmings ... this year June and the boys (Paul & Kelsey) decided as her lounge was too small for 20 people .. they changed her garage into a Santa's Grotto ... snow scenes and all ... it was great (well done to Paul & Kelsey for the decor and of course June for the food) ... they even moved the Christmas Tree into the garage after we had eaten dinner (and after the kids had all gone to bed) so we were very cruel on Christmas morning ... the kids woke ... rushed to where the tree had been and found No Tree and NO presents .... the look on their faces ... (such cruel buggers we are !!!)
When we eventually got everyone up and the kids had searched June's garden several times for the Christmas Tree it was decided we had to get the spare chairs out the garage for all the grown ups ... I thought the kids were going to start crying !!! Then we opened the doors and OMG !!! This year we were supposed to be 'economising' !!!! I'd hate to see what it would have looked like if we had done our usual OTT spend !!! LOL
There were twice as many presents this year as last year !!! BUT in fairness we did have more kids this year ... on the guest list was :
Granny, June & Irena, Babes, Nishi, Yudesh & Siana, Nan, Russell & Niki, Janet, Paul & Kelsey, Lawrence & Penny, Mariana & Wendy ... and don't forget the 4 dogs: Bella, Indi, Shadow & Kleo....IT WAS CRAZY...
Kelsey played Santa and handed out gifts, and gifts and more gifts ... the kids were over the moon... Wendy & Mariana had never experienced a Bell/Gembicki Christmas before, they were GOBSMACKED !!! to say the least ... and when they left they begged to be able to come back again next year ... in fact I think Mariana paid us the best compliment anyone could have "I never knew Christmas could be like this till I met you all ... Please can we come back again next year?"
(I have to mention ---in case you didn't know it - June & I both LOVE Christmas x;-)
So we do tend to get a little carried away ... but it's once a year and it is meant to be a very special time ...
With special friends & family together, spending time together, reminiscing together, talking about missing loved ones, wishing others could be there, filling the time with love & peace ... and that is exactly how I felt this Christmas Morning ... very blessed to have all these wonderful people in my life xxx
Penny's folks joined us on Christmas Day around lunch time and even though the weather was it's usual shitty rain and mist etc... we still had a braai ... ate drank and was Merry !!!
I was thoroughly spoilt for Christmas ... as was everyone I think ... but I just HAVE to mention that I got an UPGRADE on my camera ... what I mean to say is ... I got a NEW camera !!! The Nikon D3100 (Nikon SA was doing a deal Paul just could not resist apparently)... and I got an incredibly LARGE lens too: 170-500mm!!! Sure I'm gonna get some serious sports photography out of that eh??? And maybe the odd safari too LOL (Paul says that's me sorted for this Christmas and my next birthday)!!! Kelsey bought me the tri-pod that I NEED now to support camera and lens LOL !!! Oh well it is worth it ... and I do love my photography...
I wasn't going to even mention the weather in this post !!! but I guess I just have to ... considering we have only had 3 hot days since Paul got here !!! and 2 out of those 3 we just had to go to the beach and BURN !!!... so even though the weather has been shitty I'm sporting a summer tan LOL... Paul is hoping that there'll be a couple of hot days for him to top up his tan next week !!!
Nan left us on Wednesday with webbed feet !!! Now she knows I am serious when I say it does nothing but piss with rain here !!!
And the remainder of this week Paul has been playing D.I.Y Dan... Paul got fed up of falling over Kelsey's shoes in his bedroom so he started with a shoe rack, which has now progressed to a bedside cabinet for him and me !!! and a built in shelf/storage area in the dining room and 1 in my bedroom too !!! Well Paul was just looking for an excuse to buy himself some more power tools!!!
Tonight ... after everyone decided to bale on us !!! we are going to just have a family dinner out and celebrate the New Year with the 3 Bells,Granny, June & Irena , then we're gonna collect our 2 dogs and go up to June's to see the New Year in at her house ... we kinda have to be with our dogs cos people get a little stoopid with fireworks here over New Year and all the dogs get stressed and upset.
Mind you I'm not a huge fan of New Year celebrations anyway ... I'm more of a Christmas person ... so I'd be just as happy curling up in front of the TV till midnight ... but I'm gonna make the effort and try to enjoy it with the special people around me.

He saw himself Laughing and drinking gin.
He was chatting and laughing and looking dead smart
The thought of his past it nearly broke his heart
He'd been young and handsome and full of fun

I've got to change and be nice to folk

It's still very dark it's the middle of the night
The clock must have stopped it's not even light.
Again he crept silently under the sheet
A hot water bottle tucked at his feet.
He dropped off to sleep straight away
Like the baby Jesus laid in the hay.

The clock struck three he woke with a start
Through his chest he felt hi pounding heart
The next ghost came with a flash and a roar
She didn't even use the bedroom door.
Come with me out into our street
The poor of London you will very soon meet

Beggars and children with nothing to eat

He strode to the kitchen and made some tea
The snuggled down on his settee.

Then walked straight out through a solid door.

Paul's Home ...
Hurray ... we can start enjoying our December now ... Paul has finally arrived back here/home again ...
Well he arrived on Sunday morning !!! Left Friday Afternoon ... his flight was delay 4 hours because of stoopid passengers who got all upset when they saw the airlines 'de-icing' the planes engines ... they panicked and asked to get off the plane !!! So UAE let them get off ... unpacked their baggage and then had to de-ice the plane a second time which caused them a 4 hour delay ...
So Paul arrived in Dubai 15mins AFTER his connecting flight to SA had left !!! He was furious !!! The next best thing UAE could do for him was put him on s flight to Johannesburg ... BUT they could'nt get him on a flight to Durban till 8am Sunday morning ..... AAAAArgh ... BUT not to worry he arrived safely yesterday ...
Kelsey & I collected him from the Airport and he'd only been travelling 40 hours !!!!
So our weekend ended up being a bit hickledy pickledy !!! Thankfully the sun shone all day Saturday as GRADE 7K ... Kelseys's class had their 'farewell party' at Heine's house ... it was a great afternoon ... the kids swam, braaied and stuffed their faces ... he!he! we sent them home filled with Ice cream and tons of chocolate sauce ... keep them buzzing for the night !!!( I'm not going to mention the disastrous rugby match of SA vs Barbarians ... what a shambles !!!) so as I didn't have to collect Paul I too enjoyed my day with a couple of glasses of wine, some great company ... the other parents and Kelsey's teacher (who I have to say I am going to miss next year)
Then my SON'shine informs me he has been invited to a party by his 'GIRLFRIEND!!!' yes you read right ... a lovely young lady - Jessi ... so mum played taxi driver ... whoops had to get a couple of strong coffees down my gullet ... and then I had to sit around till 10pm to collect him ... but bless him he came home all 'loved' up LOL ...
AND Sunday ... after collecting dad ... he asks .... "can I go over to Jessi's for the afternoon?" ... well I left it up to his dad who of course said no problem ... my brother & family called round to see Paul ... funny how we haven't seen much of them since the last time he was here (PMSL) ... (bet LB has a comment to say about this if he ever gets to read it LOL)... But the weather was shitty ... turned cold again, however as Paul says nowhere near the -6 it was in the UK when he left !!!
And hey ho ... before you know it the weekend is over (AGAIN) ...
Paul and Kelsey fell asleep in his room last night watching DVDs and I went to bed with the puppy (again!!!) so much for my peaceful night!!!
Today I dragged Paul to school with me cos we had to pack 167 'parcels' for the Outreach Program that the kids are involved with ... they are going to Hillcrest Hospital on Thursday to give out pressies, sing Carols & play Bingo with the old dears !!! mmm Paul really enjoys coming back to SA while school is still on !!!
Tomorrow I will need a BIG box of tissues !!! Grade 6&7 prize giving !!! and Kelsey is receiving an award ... don't know what for yet !!! But I know tomorrow will just be the start of the tears for the farewells !!! Better taking me some lotsa pills !!!
Gotta mention .... sitting here in the winter woolies again ... cold, wet, damp & misty !!! Someone told me lately that they got the idea of Brigadoon from this area !!! That does not surprise me at all ....

Oh My Word ...
It's been sooo long since I logged into Blogger I forgot my password LOL ... had to get them to send me it again !!!!
Is there really any point in trying to make excuses ??? No so I won't !!
What have I been up to ????
I've just been hectically crazy helping out at school ... one of the TA's is off sick so Sally asked if I can help her out !!! so I have been collating next years booklets for them and doing prom stuff and generally an office jockey... and who would have thought Kelsey would still be such a socialite (LOL) after the rugby season was over ??? Now it's parties & sleepovers and socialising and MUM's taxi has to do the running around !!!
But hey it all keeps me out of mischief !!!
I've also been hectically frantically trying to make all my Christmas Gifts ... but the shops are now starting to look a little like my rescuers !!! for those gifts that I'm just not finding the time for !!! But perhaps if I spent less time talking about them and more time doing !!!! Oh well here we go again " Princess of Procrastination" !!! ... all over again ...
No more kids Scrapbooking for this year ... not sure if I'm going to carry on next year ... gonna have to wait and see what Kelsey's HIGH SCHOOL schedule is all about !!! It is so frightening to think that in 9 days time he will be saying goodbye to Primary School AGAIN and then making the big move to HIGH SCHOOL ... phew it frightens me ... but he just takes it all in his stride ... he's like "I can't wait and then I'm gonna do this and I'm gonna start that and I'm gonna have soo many new friends and I'm gonna join all these new clubs !!! Oh boy Oh boy ... where has my little boy gone ???
So once we get into a routine next year I'll wait and see if I go back to scrapbooking at the school ... but what I do know is that from the helping out at school etc ... I have to either a) find me a job next year or b) really make a greater effort to get the business sorted .... I know I know you're all sick of hearing that ... but well I have the stock sitting 'going mouldy' in the garage and I have the knowledge gathering cobwebs in the head but what I don't have right now is the capital to get it up and running ... SO I have to do something before I go totally insane !!!
Oh and why is the stock going mouldy I hear you say (LOL) well that might have something to do with the fact that it has'nt stopped bloody raining in nearly 2 months !!! See I was'nt going to comment on the weather but it's there all the time so I just have to mention how crap it is !!! OK OK so we've had 2 or maybe 3 days of heat !!! big deal ... it just does'nt make up for all the rain and the cold and the damp... I actually have webs between my toes !!!! AND I'm still wearing my winter clothes and I still have the vests on ... ok I take them off on the odd hot day .... but I would really like to be able to complain to you all about how hot it is !!! ;->
Oh and only 5 more sleeps till Paul is here ... he's over for Christmas ... we are all soo excited about him coming again ... however Kelsey has already asked if I think dad will mind if he goes to his mates for sleepovers etc. when his dad's here cos he (Kelsey) does'nt want to miss out on the parties ???? I mean really !!! I'm sure Paul and I will find lots of things to do all on our own !!! without Kelsey (LOL) ... mind you we'll still have mother to deal with !!! so alone ???? Maybe NOT !!! But we'll have a bash at it !!!
I'm keeping fingers crossed that BFF Nan & the kids are coming to us for Christmas ... so that it will be nice to have the younger kids in the house on Christmas morning ... and Babs, Nishi, Yudesh & baby Sienna will be with us this year too ... she'll be celebrating Christmas and her 1st Birthday all in the same weekend ... so lots to celebrate there I think :-)... gonna make it really nice having a house full of family, friends & kids ... oooh getting excited :-)

Some odd things ...
OK so another week over ... heck TIME stands still for no-one !!!
This last week has been a bit slower but with odd bits & pieces thrown into it !!!
I'll start with the weather ... it continued with its weirdness again this last week !!! Stinking hot Monday, thunderstorms Tuesday !!! Dull overcast & cold for the rest of the week... oh sun shone enough on Thursday to get all the washing done ... but we've had our fair share of rain all weekend again...
Because of this we've had some rather unusual visitors to the garden & the house ...
Indi & Kleo have decided that maybe they can be friends for short periods of time ... If only Kleo would stop trying to bite Indi's face it would probably last a bit longer !!!
But I managed to catch them playing tug of war with this poor teddy ..
Then Kleo found a new friend to play with ... a Millipede (a.k.a - a shongololo here) ... she had us in hysterics cause it kept curling up when she went near it ...and they give off this 'foul smelling' scent when they are 'in danger' ...
She just had to keep going back ...
This little frog spent the day in the bath and eventually disappeared to ???? (apparently he's a type of Tree Frog and I believe they are poisonous ???) 
I wasn't at school helping Monday ... decided to have a day to myself and started this .... what was I thinking ??? 
Well I guess Christmas is coming eh? and I have booked a couple of Christmas Fairs sooo ... may as well offer a couple of Christmas ornaments... a little something different I guess ???Tuesday was at school for the Craft classes ... most of the kids have finished their 2011 calendars and YES I forgot the camera so No photos !!! I still have a couple of gals to complete theirs so I'll try to remember tomorrow !!! Going to start them on a 'Hanging Christmas Mini Book' ... we only have 3 more lessons of after school club !!! Where is the time going ???
Wednesday I played Chauffeur for Kelsey's teacher !!! (in the lashing rain!!!) Shame poor Mrs Krouwel was rushed into hospital week before for an emergency 'strangulated hernia' op !!! 1 week before exams start !!! And this woman is soo dedicated she wanted to make sure she got in to see her class before they started their exams ... She's not allowed to drive and she's not supposed to be walking around and standing either .... but there was no telling the woman ... so I did my 'class mum' duties and offered to help her out (well what else was I gonna be doing eh? )
Kelsey has been frantically studying ... Thursday saw the start of final exams !!! Hope he does well ... he has worked really hard this year ... (keeping all crossed for him and the other kids) ... Gr7 is nearly over !!! I can't believe that I am going through it all again ... better make sure I have tons of Rescue and tissues for the end of the year !!!
Talking of Gr7 being nearly over I better get my A. into G. and get his new school uniform sorted out eh ???
AND I still have some stuff to complete for the Prom ... still got this long list of Christmas Pressies to complete ... orders for some people to finish ... new ideas pop into the head all the time ...
You know I have all these things that NEED to be done but ooh! don't seem to have the energy or inclination to do them ... hell I can find more that 101 excuses ... hence MY title "Princess of Procrastination "!!!
I start to do lists and then make to do lists to do the to do lists !!!
AND then I get onto this damned computer and everything else goes by the way side !!!
I'm supposed to be burning RUGBY CD's for parents that have bought copies ... and printing photos for them too .... hey! tomorrows another day eh?
Oh just HAVE to mention the Ladies Night I went to on Thursday ... well I have not laughed so much in a long time ... in fact the sides are still aching ---- (or was that cos I nearly fell over that damned puppy and twisted my back ??? and NO I wasn't drunk at that point !!!) Some of the 'toys' that were on display ... mmm well !!! But the comments from the more conservative ladies were the best !!!!... I still have a giggle when I think about it ...
Had a very,very lazy weekend (did I mention I hate weekends??? especially when there's nothing to do ??? but I could have looked at my to do list eh?) ... my son was M.I.A or most of it anyway (he did come home for a change of clothes and to do SOME studying) ... thankfully he has this really good mate of his (Heine) and they spend all their time together ... at his house (well he has a pool !!! and a huge garden) I've promised Lynette (Heine's mum) that as soon as we are in our own place it will be pay back time !!! But I think I have the boys this weekend coming ... well I know I do on Friday ... they're helping me at the REM Unit Christmas Picnic ... we're in charge of the WORS rolls & Hot dogs again ... hopefully the weather will play nicely ???
And so that is you all up to date again ... such an exciting and interesting life that I lead !!! ROFLMAO !!!

Ooooh So Bad ....
that's me !!!
Sooo long since I blogged ??? Seems I have lost the joy of blogging cos this stoopid page isn't right and I can't get it right no matter what I try and I'm not starting all over again ... Face book is just sooo much easier, and quicker BUT
I've been getting last years blog put into a book ... Blogs 2 Print... it's awesome ... but has taken me sooo long to sort out cos you have to do it page by page if you want the photos to match up to the text !!! But now it's like having the last year in a journal ... a nice glossy book that we can page through in the future and laugh about my escapades !!!
All that's not even gonna be my excuse ...

OK so since I last wrote on here ... The Sharks won the Curry Cup !!! yahoo ... we knew they would LOL ... OH and The Springboks beat the Irish too since I last wrote on here another Yahoo !!! ;-) ... watch out Wales we'll whoop ass this coming weekend too :-)
Kelsey went to his Halloween Party, not gonna say much about the drunken teenagers ... no thankfully not my son ... but his eyes were opened nice and wide about some of the kids he's gonna see around High School next year ... I told him to remember their faces and when they try to 'pick' on him all he has to say is "Oh so this is what you look like sober!" LOL
Been helping out here and there at school still doing all the decor for the end of year Prom ... gonna be fun I hope .. I am sooo glad I don't have a daughter now ... no stressing and oohing and aahing over damned Prom Dresses !!!! It's gonna be pants, shirt (maybe tie!!!) "Hell no tux for me mum !!! " (well that's what he's saying now ... lets wait and see shall we !!! )
Other than that ... not really been up to much BUT had no time to do it in anyway !!! All the usual excuses between school runs, helping out, scrapping at school, oh and making my Christmas Pressies !!! (yes I have been busy with that but can't be showing too many photos (a) don't have the camera and (b) don't want to be giving away too many surprises just yet !!!)

Last week the weather was weird ... either stinking hot ... Kelsey was out swimming at Heine's for 3 days of the week OR it was freezing cold and lashing it down with gale force winds and hail !!! Weird, VERY weird ...
The weekends weather continued in it's weirdness ... but I had no child for the best part of the weekend .. he was at a sleepover at his mate Heine's and there were girls sleeping over too !!! (frightening) ... then he had a Party to go to on Saturday night ... so I only saw him after 10pm !!!
Sunday we had the Hillcrest Villagers Junior Rugby awards presentation ... and yet another Proud Mum Moment ... Kelsey was given a Gold Award for U13 Most Dedicated Player... so chuffed that he was recognised for all the hard work he has put in ... and pleased the many nights of nagging (from me) were also rewarded LOL ....
And that's just about it ... so really what is it that is keeping me from this page ??? Can't say really ... maybe just as I said in the beginning I'm miffed with the new layout and just can't seem to fix it ... :-0

Still Here ....
Yes I am still around .... another week and a half of hectic-ness
Just when I thought I had finished with all the helping out at school ... finished with the Gr7 play and thought it was safe to go back to my boring life ... (LOL)
"Jan ... do you have any ideas we can use for the Gr7 PROM ????" and whoops there again the mouth opens before the brain has time to engage !!!!
So for the last 10 days or so I have been ... making boxes, punching out flowers, planning invitations, adding ribbon, adding glitter (Sharon, no I have not forgotten the glitter LOL)
These are our table decorations ... still not finished, gonna add some feathers, the candles and probably a load more glitter ... more photos to follow ...
But it hasn't been all work ... had a little bit of fun ... went mad and changed the hair colour again ... decided on PURPLE SLURPLE this time ... well it went blue the first time Anne did it but we added a hint of pink and this is the result ... the back is a bit darker than my usual colour but hey a change is as good as a holiday !!! LOL
You can't really see the real colour here ... but I'm really loving it !!! (don't you just love the pose???)
Otherwise I've started making some of my Christmas pressies (that's working out to be a slow process at the moment !!! maybe if I was spending more time at home and less time at school doing Prom stuffs :-0 )... OOOh and went for a visit to the annual Christmas House ... 1st day (Tuesday) was a bit disappointing ... but had to go back again Wednesday cos I'd ordered something ... that was a bad idea !!! They had added way more stuff and SO I ended up spending wayyy toooo much (AGAIN) ... really HAVE to get that bigger house built now just to put up all the Christmas Decs LOL !!! (not my fault I loves Christmas !!!)
School Papercrafting class ... got the kids making a 2011 Calendar and they are loving it ... hopefully will get some photos this week ...
Think I mentioned the camera is sick ... Paul took it back to UK with him ... hoping it gets fixed ... I am sooo missing it :0
Just gotta mention ... tomorrow at school, we are all wearing Black & White ... supporting THE SHARKS who are playing on Saturday in The Currie Cup final vs W.P. Sharks are sooo gonna whoop ass ....
AND Kelsey is playing in an exhibition rugby match at school tomorrow that SuperSports is going to be filming as HOPEFULLY part of their 'run up programme' to the final on Saturday ... he's a bit P'd off cos he's not on the SHARKS side ... he's on the W.P. side ....(hope I'm making sense ???) Coach split the kids into the 2 sides Sharks & W.P. ... and they are playing against each other tomorrow ... for fun ... but actually there's some serious competition going on between the boys !!!! Not sure who I really have to shout for ... but I know who we'll be screaming for on Saturday ...
Got a seriously social weekend ahead ... watching The Currie Cup final Saturday ... then we're off to a Halloween Party Saturday night ... ghosts & ghouls etc ... Kelsey is chuffed about being invited to a party by a bunch of High School kids !!! (especially the hot girls LOL) and Sunday we got a 'Christmas Craft Fair' ... first of many being advertised ... Well the grade 7's (Kelsey's year) school play has finally come to an end and maybe, perhaps, hopefully we can all get back to some sort of organised chaos instead of the dis-organised chaos we've all been experiencing !!!!
Last week it was costumes, shows, costumes, more performances, make-up, make-up, performances, hats, head gear, accessories, performances, changes, additions, more changes more performances and even more additions ...... aaaaargh !!!!
(Sorry no photos at the moment... my camera is at the camera doctor in the UK - Paul I hope you have remembered to send it in !!! BUT one of the other mum's has kindly offered me a set of her photos ... so as soon as I get a copy you'll get bombarded ... and you'll be able to see all the costumes etc. that I have been involved in for the last month !!!)
AND NOW ...... PEACE & QUIET !!!!
Yeah sure ! ... now I have to get my A. into G. .... I missed last weeks Scrapbooking class at school ... actually ... completely forgot about it ... only remembered when the kids came to find me in the costume room .... ooooh naughty naughty .... but I gave them some head gear to paint and they were happy LOL ... but have to get sorted for this week ...
Gonna start this term with a 2011 Calendar ... they have to cut and decorate it all up ... will post photos as we go ... (I hope with the phone camera LOL)
AND I have every intention of MAKING my Christmas Pressies for all, this year ... have, what I consider some fabby dabby ideas ??? whether the recipients feel the same way ??? T.S.B if they don't like em ... I do LOL ... maybe I'll just keep them all for me ???
We had a relatively quiet (as in stay at home) but noisy weekend ... let me explain ... Saturday Cyndi, Robin & Jason came round to watch the rugby with us, the Currie Cup Semi-Finals ... Bulls (our arch enemies) vs Sharks ... of course we won !!! ;-) BUT the game was delayed 40mins due to BEES !!! yes you read it right ... there was a swarm of bees over the stadium and they would not start the game till the were moved !!!! then it started to rain ... it lashed it down so most of the spectators were soaked but the game still went ahead.
We spent the afternoon screaming and shouting at the TV ... as you do, it was a pretty intense match!... which made the dogs hyper !!! and it was like a mad house in here ...but rather enjoyable :-)
Thankfully Sunday was spent relaxing and lazy ... did nothing, went no-where !!! Just watched the rain !!! and more rain oh and did I mention the rain ??? Guess what? It's our rainy season LOL
Found it really strange getting up for school at the normal time this am ... the kids went into school late last week due to the evening concerts ... so when 5.30am arrived this morning I just wanted to turn over and go back to sleep ... well would of if the little shit of a puppy didn't start with her nonsense !!! still waking me through the night !!! loves a 3am wee !!! ... but the sun was shining this morning so that was a good enough reason to get up anyway ...
Started ploughing through the loads in the washing basket ... and then while I was out at the line ... the weavers in the big tree started going mad ... screeching and squawking !!! I'm like W.T.F and I look up to see a Kite circling the tree ... I'm thinking shame ... nature !!! one of those poor mummies is gonna loose a chick when suddenly I realised the kite was turning round and swooping towards the ground ... what??? there's Kleo the puppy stretched out on the cool grass about to become Kite food ... I ran at the damned bird flapping my arms and screaming like a demented woman .... anyone seeing me would most definitely have called the funny farm !!!... Can you believe it ... she was almost snatched up by a bird of prey ... yes she's small but hell not that small ???
But I suppose if you're hungry ... nothing like a fresh fat puppy dog eh? ... Africa is such a hard harsh continent LOL

HELLO!
It's me ... yes I'm still here !!! In body anyway ... just forget the mind thing ... that went a long time ago !!! LOL
Maybe! just maybe! after this next week of absolute madness and chaos I will be able to get back to some sort of normality .... or NOT. (was I ever normal???)

Introduced to Big Sister ... did'nt go too well and still not friends !!!
(and NOT my idea!!! Paul saw this advert for these puppies ... said they looked just like a baby Indi ... Kelsey & him phoned ... and before I even had a real chance to object or even think about it they were dragging me off to see them .... NOW 3 things I just have to mention ....
1. I am a SUCKER ... for puppies ... mum said she just knew that if I went to see them I would not be coming home empty handed.
2. Indi is a Rotweiler cross Alsatian ... (Kleo's mum was a Daschund Slut PMSL) ... this new puppy is a Daschund cross Sharpei ???? SO how are these 2 dogs anything alike ??? But it was the colouring that got us there ... Does that make her a Daschpei or a Sharschund ??? LOL ...
3. Kelsey paid for her ... so legally that makes her HIS puppy BUT ... who is she keeping awake all night? Who's feeding her? who does she follow everywhere? AND who cleans up after her?
Are you seeing a pattern here ???
We took her up to Aunty June's to introduce her to the other dogs ... well seeing as how Aunty June always ends up looking after our dog (s now) when we go away ... !

So Paul has left us AGAIN ... he's back in the UK now... Firstly ... Ann I'm sorry I forgot to make your 'order' but I promise to have them ready by his next visit ... Christmas ... if you still want them ??? (I remembered them today as I was desperately searching for red snake eyes !!! more about that later)
Last week Kelsey went back to school so Paul & I got some 'alone' time together HA .... first week back was Entrepeneurs Day ... spent most of our free time making 'stuff' ...will add photos to next posting ... then rest of week it was painting props and helping make costumes for the Grade 7 end of year play ... 'Oh Brother' ... (and Oh Brother is exactly it !!!! )
Been helping out at school all this week so far and it looks pretty much the same now till the show is over ... 1st performance tomorrow (Wed am and an evening performance ) 2 shows on Thursday 1 am for the school and an evening 'Supper Theatre' style and then Friday night Finale with a 'Supper Theatre' style ... I'm kinda helping out dressing up ... well seeing as how I sort of ended up with the responsibility of the 'head gear' for the cast !!!!
I'm afraid I won't be bombarding you with too many photos ... my camera "she is sick" so Paul has taken it with him for repairs (please don't let them f'... it up )

WHAT ????
4th October already ??? Just can't be ....
Another whole week of not blogging ... been able to FB but not blog ... OK had a good enough excuse ... we went up to POLOKWANE to the Reserve ... to visit Nan & the kids ...
The journey was uneventful but as we got closer and closer I got this pain in my chest ... seeing Nan for the first time since Ben died was incredibly hard, but going out to the house was even harder still ... I felt like he was there in every room and round every corner. Kelsey also felt very uneasy when we first got there ... in fact we all did...
FACT is ... it will never be the same ... we just have to admit it will just be very different from now on.
Nan is coping as best as she can ... "baby steps" sweetheart :-( (our thoughts and prayers are with you every minute of every day :-)
Russell and Nicola are growing up so fast ... Nicola is doing very well after her accident ... Nan showed us her X-rays and it was amazing how she had broken her jaw ... Nicola sat and told Kelsey how she had actually fallen off the 'stoep' ... apparently she had been climbing up the back of one of the chairs and it had toppled forward sending her and it crashing to the floor, (only about a 2m drop !!!! )
Paul, Kelsey & the kids got to enjoy Ouma & Oupa's pool on the first day there ...
We didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked with Nan, unfortunately she had to work ... but her new job sounds great ... This meant however we did get to spend a lot of time with the kids which was nice ...
Kelsey, Russell & Paul did the 'man things' like bow shooting and 'monkey hunting !!!' Sadly Nicola had a bit of an upset tummy for the 1st couple of days,and she was feeling a bit 'flat', so her & I spent a lot of time doing 'quiet' things(baking muffins which I burnt :-( and her watching Princess DVD's and me reading !!! It was so beautiful and peaceful up there)
Nan's mum's found out that her turtle had laid some eggs... check out these baby 'Leopard Turtles'....

Nan had organised us all a game drive on Sunday, including her parents ... mum was with us but she opted not to go on the drive (now her staying at home is another story I won't put to print ) ... we ended up taking as very slow and extremely dangerous drive up the 'Gorge' to the top escarpment .... they have a landing strip up there !!!! and we went to the Extreme 19th Hole which is shaped like the African Continent ... NO we didn't go up to the T-Off of the extreme 19th ... you need a chopper for that !!!

Kelsey has promised that one day, when he's older he will CLIMB the mountain (because it is possible with permission from the reserve) and go and visit Uncle Ben.
I can't put exactly into words what I am feeling right now ... about the loss of Ben and the pain that my soul sister & best friend Nan is going through, I just want her to know that we will be here for her ALWAYS ... NO MATTER WHAT...
Just had to share this with you ... it's very unusual to see a Barn Owl in broad daylight ... this young lady lives in the roof of one of Nan's neighbours ... she was upset because they were moving things around in the roof and she was disturbed a bit ...

We left Nan & the kids on Thursday ... we had to be back home by Friday cos we had tickets to the rugby on Friday Night ... Sharks vs Leopards ... it was Jason's Birthday so we were invited to join Cyndi, Robin, Jason & family. Of course the Sharks chowed down on the Leopards ... we beat them 63 - 6 ... but a fun game ... and the Sharks kept playing right to the end.... I think Paul enjoyed his first live rugby game at The Shark Tank ???
Just have to mention the unpredictability of our SA weather at the moment ... Friday night at 10.30pm the temperature on the patio was 28'c !!! (Today ... pissing down with rain and only 17'c.
