of crazy ramblings that I haven't blogged about !!!

Gosh ... wow ... been a whole 10 days again !!!

Not got much time to waffle on so quickly ... what you've been missing ...

Kelsey played rugby again this last Saturday ... we were up at 4.30am cos we had a 2 1/2 drive to Grantleigh school ... up past Richards Bay ... it was bloody hot ... temperature was 32'c plus a warm wind from the ocean !!! The boys were slaughtered !!! 54 -0 .... oops not gonna say much more on that one !!!

Even the 1sts rugby squad lost but at least their match was a closer call ... 24-22 ... we were winning till the last 3 mins !!! then it looked like our guys thought they had it in the bag LOL !!! NOT ...

Sunday we thought we better go visit June & Irena ... they were starting to think we weren't talking to them LOL ... again another gorgeous HOT day ... lazy one too ... sat around pool, ate, drank and was merry !!!

This weekend was a long weekend for us ... Monday being 'Freedom Day' !!! and I got a call out to do some photo shoots, ended up with 4 stunning models .... it was another blerdy hot day ... but I was down at the beach ... and it was gorgeous ... I think the whole of Hillcrest was there too ... I knew just about every 2nd person ... I did ask Kelsey to join me but he was being a lazy little shit so he stayed at home ... he regretted it after I got home ... especially after i told him how busy it had been and how beautiful the sea was ... yes people I was actually up to my knees in the waves AND I was on the sand !!!

Then the rest of this week has been crazy gathering 'stuff' for our Family Fun Day on Sunday ... organising this & that ... and of course we're all excited forPaul's arrival tomorrow night...

Yipee .... that means holidays are just around the corner and of course we're a family again for a whole 2 weeks !!!!

Another weekend over...

and what an uneventful one at that !!! (but I'm not moaning cos I now have the rugby fixtures and I think this is our last quiet weekend till end of June !!!)

'SON' shine not playing rugby, no sports on TV worth watching ... in fact a very uneventful weekend ...

BUT have to mention the HEAT !!! Finally I had to admit summer was here on Saturday, temperatures reached 44'c !!! ... it only lasted the 1 day ... we had a hell of a storm on Saturday night and now it's much much cooler, today being only 23 !!! and RAINING ... hope mum didn't jinx it by saying on Saturday night " I hope the rain knows it's not supposed to stay!"

We had Heine staying the weekend with us ... his parents were away at a function and he didn't want to go with. The boys went to the movies Friday night... slept in late Saturday ... over-dosed on games and sugar all day ... did do a bit of a work out (coach if you read this ... honestly they did work out)... and jogged too... round to H's house... we had to pop round to check on their dogs ... the boys swam ... they ate McD's for supper ... and then it was back to games !!!

I tried desperately to get them to wake up at 5am to go see the sun rise at the beach ... NOT HAPPENING !!! and so Sunday was spent vegging too ... mind you I don't mind leaving them alone once in awhile cos both boys have hectic sports weeks ... training Mondays & Wednesdays, they have to do gym workouts on Tuesdays & Thursdays and then matches on Saturday !!!

Friday was my sports watching day .... mum didn't get her weekly trip to the shops and lunch due to the fact that Super 15 rugby was on Friday morning, an incredibly intense and heated game ... we finally won at the final whistle (yes that's how tight the game was ... not sure if we were going to win till the final whistle !!! ) Score: Sharks 34, Melbourne Rebels 32 !!!

Saturday morning I popped to the local flea market ... Shongweni ... it was 'pumping' ... and HOT ... I did my bit of marketing ... handed out leaflets for Crafters to attend our HVJR FFD !!! lets wait and see if I get any calls this week from that ...

And now here we are at Monday again ... only 12 days till Paul arrives !!! starting to get a bit excited ... like it when the countdown gets to single figures !!! ;-)

So pleased to see...

the idea of writing the blog more often happened !!! ... so NOT !!!

And here she goes again... another crazy hectic week of nothingness happened and just no time to write more often ...

Where do I start ... I guess where I ended ...

The rest of last week Thursday & Friday was pretty uneventful ... other than I have developed the most amazing tight muscles in my right arm (and probably have a larger right boob than before LOL) from making 12litres of pancake batter ... Sally collected half from me on Friday and she went home and made the first 150 for the stall on Saturday ... to get us started...

Saturday morning saw us all up bright and early ... (the heat as well LOL) and off we went to Kings Park Stadium in Durban for our High School boys to play their first rugby match of the season ...

They were playing against what was supposed to be a Development Side ... BULL comes to mind ... these boys all had tog-bags from WBH, GBH and DBH ... 3 of the top schools in Durban ... mmmm me thinks perhaps we were the Development Team !!! and their U14 side had 3 KZN players on their squad (for those of you not in the know ... only the best players get picked to play for the provincial side KZN!!!) SO I think our U14's did fantastically well as they held the game to a 5-5 draw ... and our boys were stuffed !!! after their match ... in fact all the age groups did really well ... only U15's lost the 2nd's & 1sts (now those BOYs are bloody grown MEN !!! and I told Kelsey maybe I don't want him to play BIG BOY rugby cos they is BLOODY big !!! OK I know he'll be big by then too but it is very frightening watching these 'school boys' pounding each other out !!! supposedly for the love of the game ... the 1st's match was brutal!!)

So after a really intense hot morning ... I got so sun-burnt ... it was a mad dash home in time to watch The Sharks in the Super 15 rugby ... and of course we are THE BEST team out there ... and after another 'intense screaming at the TV match' ... it was back in the car and off to the Cancer Walk for the school ... which was a much more relaxing and peaceful afternoon ... the girls managed to make a nice amount for the Matric Farewell dance ... see the pancake making was worth it all in the end... I was very glad to get home and collapse into bed on Saturday night LOL

Thankfully Sunday I had nothing on ... Kelsey slept on and off all day .. he too was blerdy knackered !!! Spent the day resting, reading and eating ... oh and the Homework Project was completed with very little fuss !!! ;-)

Monday & Tuesday has seen me running around like a headless chicken trying to organise 'stuff' for our Rugby Club Family Fun Day !!! Don't you find it amazing that the people who have sooo much to say never seem to offer to help !!! Well Jenny & I are going to try our best and if that's not good enough then THEY can get stuffed !!!

Last night I decided ... as it was Pancake Tuesday ... and I had 2lts of pancake batter left from Saturday .. I invited The Fandamily to pop over for pancakes ... it was really nice and even Irena joined us ... June was being Miss Grumpy and she didn't wanna come but we still sent her a couple of pancakes in case she was feeling left out !!!

And now here we are on Wednesday again !!! Blogging, phoning for FFD, answering messages... and really must start on some crafty stuff for my market stall !!! Need to make me some money to pay back the house keeping for all the 'stuffs' I've been buying ... you know the routine ... borrow, repay and borrow again !!!

Not gonna say it !!!

OK ... I will ... hell another week gone ... and here I promised myself I was going to write the blog more often ... so that the post weren't so long and you didn't all get BORED with my ramblings ...

And I had every intention of writing more last week ... BUT ???

I don't know ???

Honestly ... my weeks start out with nothing on the calendar and then suddenly it is Friday again and I'm still chasing my tail !!!

June 'jokes' all the time about having to 'book' a date with me so we can have coffee and a catch-up ... I mean seriously ... she's only joking ... I think ... but then again... um... I always seem to be busy but with NOTHING !!!

See I even manage to blog about that nothing LOL !!!

Right last week ...

The right arm shot up again when asked for a volunteer ... (I have got to strap it down from now on) ... so what am I helping with this time ... fund raising & helping out for the Matric Dance !!! (How on earth did I manage that ???) Kelsey isn't even gonna be involved in that for at least the next 3 years !!!

What does all this mean ... well firstly ... this Saturday 5th March the High School is having a 'Walk for Cancer' and most of the kids are involved ... but other groups etc. can 'book tables' to help raise funds for their causes too ... and the 'Matric Committee' (which consists of girls from Gr11 - they will be Matrics next year) decided a Pancake Stall would be a great way to raise funds for the Matric Dance ... the girls are going to be making/serving the pancakes ... but someone has to 'make the batter' (and I'm not bragging or anything or for that matter complaining or anything .. but mum and I have said on more than 1 occasion .. when we have been to fairs... NO we don't go to them often, but when you do you just HAVE to HAVE pancakes !!! ... no-one here in SA makes a decent pancake mix ... I mean hello it's pancakes ... how hard can that be ??? ) BUT I passed that comment and 'ta-da' ... I'm making pancake batter for 500 pancakes !!!! OOOps !!!

Mind you some of you cast your mind back to May last year ... mum and I made over 200 pancakes to help the girls start out with stock for the HPS FFD !!! We even got a name for ourselves "Petunias Pancake Palace" LOL

Enough about pancakes ... so that's 1 of my jobs this week, spent at least 2 days last week on the computer ogling (oops no I meant editing) the photos of the gorgeous Charles ... It was hard ... but somebody had to do it ... (I guess that doesn't sound very professional does it ... maybe I'm not supposed to drool over the models ... but take a look and tell me he was not worth loosing ones professional integrity over LOL)

Wednesday last week saw me back at the hairdressers ... really HAD to go even more PINKY/PURPLY ... OK a bit crazier than normal ... Anne decided to try out another technique ...

Thursday saw Kelsey taking part in his first Inter-House swimming gala ... hey and parents were allowed to watch ... so that was fun ... and very interesting how they do it at High School ... done & dusted in under 2 hours !!! Primary School was a whole day affair LOL

Friday I played TAXI again ... the REM unit at Hillcrest Primary School had the Official opening of their new classrooms and some of the High School pupils (those that had been at the REM unit helping raise funds over the last 2 years) were invited to attend the ceremony ... and as I was also invited (by the REM unit) I helped out by ferrying kids from High School to Primary School ... so that took care of Friday ...

Saturday I finally attended my camera course ... it was part of the GIFT when SANTA gave me my new camera ... so I spent Saturday morning getting even more confused than I ever was ... and had to unpack the new camera ... have had a play and ummm not too sure about it ... feels like I need to be a rocket scientist to work it ... or maybe an airline pilot LOL

BUT I think all I need is practise, practise and practise .... mmmm maybe need to get me few more HUNK-a-liscious models to shoot ???

Talking of HUNK-a-liscious ... Kelsey is playing his first Rugby Match for High School on Saturday ... yes this coming Saturday 5th ... the very same day I'm supposed to be helping make pancakes ... bet you can guess what I won't be doing ... or rather what I will be doing ???

There's NO WAY I'm missing his first HIGH SCHOOL match !!! not for no pancakes !!!

So I reckon I'll get some practise with the camera on Saturday ...

And as for this week ... so far all I've been doing is working on things for our Club Rugby's Family Fun Day ... which is coming up at the end of March ... yes again ... another volunteer thang that I got myself into ... one thinks one is doing oneself a favour by joining all these committee's ... but all one is really doing is lining oneself up for all these extra jobs !!!

And that's pretty much my last week in over 1000 words LOL

Oh just have to mention my stoopidity last night ... I managed to lock my keys in my car !!! The passenger side door does'nt wanna lock these days ... and because I have central locking the car won't lock at all if the stupid passenger door does'nt lock .. get the picture ? So last night I'm going out to a meeting (oh have to mention it's the Hillcrest Camera Club Meeting !!!) ... and my friend Yvonne is meeting me there, I lean over to lock my passenger door from my side of the car, Yvonne walks over and says Hi !. I stand up, say hello and slam my car door .... SHIT! shit!Shit! ... there sitting on my drivers seat .... my car keys !!!! We had a good laugh about that ... thankfully I knew where the spare keys were at home ... and Yvonne very kindly drove me home to collect them (after the meeting of course!) and dropped me back off to collect my car ... won't be doing that gain in a hurry ... Maybe I should just get the lock fixed !!!
